MIST Registration 101

Step 1: School Ambassador Sign-up

Every school is required to have 1-2 MIST ambassadors who will act as the liaison between each respective school team and the Dream Team. Assign 1-2 MIST ambassadors for your school. More information on the ambassador role and sign up can be found by clicking the button below!

Step 2: Build Your Team

Ambassadors: Now’s the fun part! Before registration opens, recruit members for your school team! Depending on your school size and competition interest, you may have to host try-outs. Refer to the rulebook for details on maximum number of competitors per competition.

Team members: Connect with your school’s ambassador to express your interest for a competition and see whether try-outs are required, or if you can automatically be added to the competition.

Step 3: Registration!

Keep an eye out on our social media accounts for registration opening and closing dates!

Ambassadors: Once registration commences, school ambassadors must be registered on MyMIST first before the rest of the team and will be responsible for approving all additional members.

Team members: Now that you have identified your team and competition roster, it’s time to register! To register, make a MyMIST account and register under the Toronto Event.

Step 4: Coaches

Ambassadors: Every competing school is required to have 1 coach for every 12 students. For example, a school with 39 students must have 4 coaches. All coaches must be 21+ years of age and can be parents, teachers, siblings, etc. For more information on coaches and sign up details, please click here.

Step 5: Tournament Weekend Registration

All MIST attendees: For the tournament weekend registration, students will be required to bring a photo ID (i.e. student card, drivers license, etc.), after which they will receive their badge and wristband. In the event that an attendee loses their wristband, they will be charged $15 for a replacement.
